Villa Rental FAQs
We know that you may have questions about vacationing in Los Cabos, Mexico, which is why we have put together a list Cabo villa FAQs.
We want to provide you with highly personalized service, unique experiences, and inside knowledge about the Los Cabos region.
If you don’t find the answers to your questions here, reach out to us, we are here to help.
Rates start around $1,000 per night and vary by home, season, location, and staffing level. What never changes is our standard. Each villa we present is vetted for design, maintenance, and service.
Your villa specialist helps you identify the homes that genuinely fit your dates, your group, and the kind of trip you want to have—so you’re not sorting through random listings without context or guidance.
No. Owners require rate parity across channels. What distinguishes Cabo Luxury is the service that accompanies that rate: a professionally inspected villa, a local concierge, on-the-ground support, and a team who has already solved the issues guests can’t anticipate from a website. You pay the same for the villa and receive far more in service and assurance.
We don’t run discount programs. Villas are reserved at their official nightly rate to maintain quality, staffing consistency, and owner trust.
The right home creates value; the wrong one creates friction. We help you select a villa that supports your trip—its flow, location, and design—so your investment goes toward value you’ll actually feel.
And because we also guide the experiences around your villa, the entire trip works together the way it should, giving you more value than the nightly rate alone can ever show.
With Cabo Luxury, certain services are built into the experience, not bolted on later. Most stays include:
- A dedicated concierge for pre-arrival and in-destination planning
- A chef-prepared welcome
- Butler welcome service (usually 2 hours)
- Arrival airport transportation
- Daily housekeeping
Inclusions vary by home and are confirmed clearly before booking. Your villa specialist will walk through exactly what is provided with this property, so expectations are aligned from the start.
Your concierge will outline everything clearly. Typical additional costs include groceries, private transportation, chef services, spa treatments, boats, golf, and activities.
If you’d like a sense of the total trip budget, we can share sample itineraries and estimated cost ranges once we understand your group’s style and pace.
Cabo Luxury is a locally based villa rental and in-destination service company with more than 15 years of experience in Los Cabos.
We offer one of the region’s most carefully curated portfolios of private homes and pair each villa with our own concierge and in-villa service team, creating a level of support and oversight that is rare in the industry.
Being based here and present throughout your stay allows us to provide the kind of local assurance and familiarity that only comes from knowing these villas — and this destination — intimately.
Our business is built on repeat guests, referrals, and long-term relationships with owners and property managers. We have two decades of guest reviews, returning families and corporate groups, and deep partnerships with chefs, transportation providers, and activity operators who rely on our ongoing business.
We use formal rental agreements, secure payment structures, and full pre-arrival documentation. Before you even land, our team has inspected the villa, confirmed staffing, and prepared the home to the standards our guests—and owners—expect.
Yes. Booking with Cabo Luxury is safe — financially and operationally.
Our impeccable reputation and deep industry relationships reflect the trust we’ve earned over many years. Each home is verified for ownership, management, and condition, and our local team knows the neighborhoods and house guidelines, helping you avoid unexpected issues.
We live here, we know these villas intimately, and we stand behind each one.
A villa specialist reviews your dates, group profile, budget, and trip goals, then shortlists the homes that fit — not just by look and price, but by location, logistics, and the pace and purpose of your stay.
Once you choose a villa, we confirm availability, send the rental agreement, and secure your reservation. Your concierge then steps in to design your trip around the home.
Our team responds quickly and is available 365 days per year.
Most Cabo trips are planned by someone far from Cabo. Ours aren’t. Your concierge plans your trip for weeks — or often months — before you arrive, shaping the flow, timing, and structure of your days so everything works the way it should. When you land, you’re not starting fresh. You’re meeting the person who already knows your group, your plans, and what matters to you.
During your stay, your concierge:
• Meets you in person at arrival
• Refines the daily pace so the trip feels natural, not rushed
• Manages reservations for transportation, groceries, chefs, spa, activities, golf, and boats
• Coordinates timing with your chef and butler so the day flows smoothly
• Makes real-time adjustments when plans change
This is hands-on hospitality, not remote coordination — and that is the Cabo Luxury difference.
Think of it this way:
- Your concierge plans and coordinates the trip – before and during your time in Cabo.
- Your butler takes care of you inside the villa – during each day of the trip.
The concierge is focused on the big picture: timing, logistics, vendors, and experiences. The butler is focused on the moment: drinks, setup, service, flow, and the small details that make the house feel like it’s running itself.
Yes. Concierge service is included with every Cabo Luxury reservation. The planning and coordination are complementary; you only pay for the activities or services you select. Everything your concierge arranges is billed at public rates with no markup — a meaningful distinction from hotels, where add-on fees of 15–25% are common.
Staffing varies by home. Some villas include certain staff (such as housekeeping or a caretaker) in the nightly rate; others are more à la carte.
In practice, we’re adept at tailoring staff to your group: chef, butler, housekeeping level, driver, or additional support as needed. This approach ensures you’re paying for the service you actually use, not a fixed package that may not fit your group’s rhythms or budget.
We’ll walk you through the options for each home so staffing is clear before you book.
Absolutely. This is where we do some of our best work.
For everything from intimate celebrations to multi-day events, our team handles chefs, décor, entertainment, photography, and production. We also manage villa and HOA requirements from the start, ensuring approvals, expectations, and fees are clear — and that your event unfolds without interruption.
You can, and we’ll always respect your preferences.
Where we add value is in everything you can’t see from a website: timing with traffic, how long things really take, how one activity affects the rest of the day, and how vendors interact with the villa’s access, staff, and layout.
Most guests start with ideas, then let the concierge structure the trip around the villa and adjust as things evolve – so they don’t spend their vacation managing logistics.
No. You’re free to book independently.
Most guests eventually choose to book through us because:
- Our rates match public pricing, so there’s no advantage to do it yourself.
- We work with these partners every week and have contracts, direct lines, and real influence when change is needed.
- When we control the reservations, we can move the whole day – transportation, chef, spa, dinner – on a dime when weather, timing, or preferences shift.
When part of the day is booked separately, our ability to protect your time and avoid fees or missed services is limited.
Full-service planning isn’t about making a rigid schedule. It’s about having a professional, local team who ·
- Coordinates with all staff and vendors
- Designs the structure of the trip around your villa and goals
- Monitors timing and traffic day-to-day
- Manages changes and cascading effects when something moves
It’s the difference between being the one running the trip – and having a team who has already run this hundreds of times, quietly in the background, so you don’t have to.
We’ll always do our best to help. However, external vendors may not allow us to modify or cancel reservations on your behalf, and they may not coordinate timing with your villa staff.
When you book through our network, we can usually resolve issues, adjust timing, and protect the rest of your day in a way we simply can’t guarantee with third-party bookings.
In a villa, you’re not one of hundreds of rooms on a floor plan. You’re the only group.
Instead of rotating staff, you have a consistent team who gets to know your preferences – how you like your coffee, any allergies, what a “slow morning” means to you, and when to step in or step back. Schedules, mealtimes, and service are shaped around your rhythms, not a resort’s.
For many guests, it feels less like staying at a hotel and more like having your own small, well-run property.
Meals are typically customized, not bundled. Groceries and chef services are billed separately so menus, timing, and portions can be matched to your group.
If a villa includes specific meal or staffing structures, we’ll clarify that before you book so you know exactly what’s included and what’s arranged à la carte.
Yes. Our chefs, butlers, and operations team work with family reunions, celebrations, retreats, and corporate groups regularly.
We plan staffing and service around your headcount, schedule, and style, whether that means plated dinners, family-style meals, canapés before heading out, or all-day service in the home.
Many villas and HOAs allow private dinners and celebrations; others have strict rules about guest counts, noise, event hours, or what qualifies as an “event.” Fees can be significant and are often misunderstood when guests book directly online.
We guide you toward homes that support your plans and help you navigate approvals and event rules before you commit.
Yes. Your concierge is available every day throughout your visit. You’ll already know them from the planning process, and you’ll meet them in person at arrival and again during your stay. If anything needs to be added, adjusted, or fixed, you have a direct line to someone local who knows your plans and your group.
It depends on when and where you’d like to travel.
- Peak holidays (New Year’s, festive season, some spring and fall dates) often rebook six to twelve months in advance, especially for the most sought-after homes.
- Other periods are more flexible.
Because a large portion of Cabo travel is repeat and referral, many guests reserve their next trip before they leave. If you have specific dates or a particular villa in mind, starting early gives you more and better options.
Not at all. Many guests begin working with our team while they’re still narrowing down their potential travel dates.
Your villa specialist can show you how availability, pricing, and options change between windows so you can lock in the combination of dates and property that makes the most sense.
Most guests who are used to resorts tell us they gain more than they lose: more space, more privacy, and a level of personal attention that’s hard to deliver in a large hotel environment.
Instead of lining up for breakfast, competing for pool chairs, or fitting into fixed dining slots, everything in the villa is centered on your group’s pace — with a chef, butler, housekeeping, and concierge there to support it.
We work with a wide range of guests: families, couples, multi-generational trips, corporate groups, and yes, public figures. What they have in common isn’t a profile – it’s a preference for space, privacy, and being well looked after.
Whether it’s a once-in-a-lifetime celebration or your fourth trip this year, our job is the same: understand what matters to you and design the villa and service around that.
Very much so. What most people think of as “Cabo” is just the small nightlife district in Cabo San Lucas. The greater Los Cabos region stretches nearly two hours from end to end and includes quiet coastal towns, art districts, world-class dining, golf, wellness, and extraordinary natural landscapes.
Your concierge designs the trip around the pace you prefer—quiet, active, or a mix—so the days unfold naturally and feel right for your group.
